Daughters of Afghanistan Rising is a women-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Afghan and refugee women as they build new lives in the United States.

Founded by Najia Qader, Executive Director, DOAR is led by Afghan women who understand firsthand the challenges of displacement and resettlement. We provide comprehensive support that addresses immigration services, case management, translation, education, career development, family stability, and cultural connection.

Founded

DOAR was founded by Najia Qader, Executive Director, committed to supporting Afghan women and their community during a time of crisis.

2022

First Programs Launched

Introduced our core education and workforce development programs, serving our first 50 participants.

2023

Expanded Services

Added family support and cultural programs, growing to serve over 200 women and families.

2024

Growing Impact

Reached 300+ women served, established key partnerships, and expanded volunteer network.
